BANANOSA produces organically grown bananas on its own secluded farms. According to the Organic Trade Association’s definition, organic farming is an ecological production management system that promotes and enhances biodiversity, biological cycles, and soil biological activity.

It relies on minimal off-farm inputs and management practices that restore, maintain, and enhance ecological harmony. Essentially, organic farming focuses on improving soil fertility through the use of natural and mineral fertilizers and enhancing biological cycles for natural insect and disease control.
